From the beginning of the 17th century, travelers from all over Europe started visiting Greece. The History, the legends, the heroism, the exceptionally beautiful ancient temples and the constant sun light attracted them.
Amongst them were romantic painters and engravers who engraved the temples and the ruins of Attica.
